Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as a Monthly Active User?
A unique user who loads your app with Jimo installed, counted once per calendar month. Someone who opens your app forty times in a month is one MAU. Users who never log in are never counted. You can see your current MAU in the Jimo dashboard, and we tell you when you get close to your tier.
What is an AI request?
One answer generated by the agent. A user asks, the agent replies, that is one request. A follow-up in the same conversation is another one. Opening the resource center, reading an article or launching an experience the agent suggested costs nothing.
What happens if I go over my MAU or my AI requests?
On MAU, nothing stops. Experiences keep running and we contact you to move to the next tier at your next billing cycle, at the rates shown above. On AI requests, the 50 included in Adoption Suite are there to try the agent: once they are used, the agent pauses until the next month, or picks up right away when you add Adoption Agent. On Adoption Agent, additional requests are $19 per 100. Unused requests don’t roll over.
Do I need both products?
No. Adoption Suite includes the agent with 50 requests a month, enough to see how your users take to it. When they do, add Adoption Agent for 200 requests a month. Adoption Agent also works on its own if you only need answers, without the Suite. Running both means one install and one set of data: the agent can answer a question and hand the user straight into a Suite experience.
Can I add or switch products later?
Yes. Add the second product whenever you want, it is prorated to your current term so both renew on the same date. Dropping one does not touch the other: the content, data and integrations of the product you keep stay as they are.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, on both products, no card required. One month. We don’t leave you alone with an empty account: book a demo and we set it up with you, get your first experiences live and open a shared Slack channel for the trial.
Do I need a developer to get started?
To try Jimo, no. The Chrome extension lets you build and preview experiences on your app without installing anything. To go live, one developer for about an hour: a JavaScript snippet or an npm package, plus a few lines to pass user attributes if you want to segment on them. After that, product, design and CS ship experiences from the no-code editor without another deploy.
Does Jimo work on mobile?
On any web app, whatever the device. We recommend a separate segment for mobile browsers since the screen is smaller. Native iOS and Android apps are not supported.
How do I pay, and can I pay in euros?
By card or bank transfer through Stripe, in USD or EUR. On annual plans we can also invoice you directly. Prices are shown excluding VAT.
What’s the cancellation policy?
Monthly plans can be cancelled any time and stop at the end of the month you have paid for. Annual plans are billed upfront for twelve months and renew at the end of the term unless you cancel before the renewal date. We don’t refund the part of a term already paid.
Is Jimo GDPR and SOC 2 compliant?
Yes. SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, data hosted in the EU. Jimo is a data processor: we don’t sell or share your users’ data. The DPA is part of our standard contract, and our security documentation is on compliance.usejimo.com.
